The heritage-listed Edinburgh Castle is an inner-city pub filled with old world charm. Local office workers, firemen and backpackers alike are drawn to the pub’s laid back atmosphere, great bistro food and beautiful historic features.  Drinkers and diners also enjoy an open sundeck, a hidden gem in the bustle of the CBD.

Set over three levels, the current Edinburgh Castle is an intrinsic part of Sydney’s downtown history. Built by the brewers Tooth & Co in the 1930, lovers of art deco will appreciate the pub’s historic features – from its tiling to the beautiful wood-carved and mirrored main bar.  Sports fans can watch major sporting games or enjoy a leisurely game of pool in a unique setting.

A newly refurbished first floor bar and bistro evokes a classic Parisian cool, with its black chandeliers, dark red velvet couches and lead lights.  This boudoir atmosphere -- with a DJ box, extensive range of spirits behind the bar and easy access to an outdoor area -- is the perfect place for private functions.

The Edinburgh Castle bustles at lunchtime with diners enjoying bargain  meals, or selecting from an extensive menu, which include citrus inspired fish and chips, and a tasty chicken salad.

A pub by the name of Edinburgh Castle has existed on the site since 1885. Tooth & Co purchased the pub in 1930, demolished what was standing and rebuilt the Castle that stands today.
